Prayer Services
Nirvana Memorial Garden is not just a place where the ashes of the departed lay to rest but is also a memorial garden with fully equipped facilities, beautiful environment and exemplary service from the heart; that serves to provide peace and comfort to both the departed and their family.
In accordance with the Chinese funeral rituals and adherence to the relationship that defined Chinese tradition that recognizes and prioritizes the “virtues of filial piety”, together with the inclusive religious cogitation of Buddhism, we provide the following worship and prayers services:
Nirvana provides a comprehensive An-Ling service. If the customer has purchased a niche at Nirvana, it will include a free 49-day An-Ling service
An Ling
After the funeral, family will place the portrait of the deceased, temporary tablet (which usually consists of a wooden stand and paper) and incense burner which were used in the funeral at home. Worship will be carried out then. During this period, family have to offer food to the deceased everyday, once in the day time and once in the evening time.
Ji Ling
Also known as Shu Ling or An Ling, In today's society, many people choose to An Ling at the temple or columbarium. Daily offerings and chanting are assisted by caretakers or monks for 49 days.
Family members can arrange for Master to chant sutras during the prayer
Includes six vegetarian dishes, three fruits, a bowl of rice, a cup of tea, and a steamed cake

Prayer offerings twice a day during breakfast and dinner

Offer sumptuous meal on the 49th day – 12 dishes, fruits, red buns, huat kueh

In the first year, festival prayers can be done anytime of the day. The four festivals are Dumpling Festival, Seventh Month Festival and Dongzhi Festival and New Year’s Eve. Do not use rice dumplings and tangyuan as offerings, replace with dishes and fruits.

Prayers on Qingming Festival on actual day in the first year.

Prayers on birthday during first year of death before commemorating death anniversary subsequently. Offer bowl of meesua with an egg for birthday offering. Buddhists offer a bowl of meesua.

Nirvana Representative Worship Service is available as an alternative to ensure we fulfill our obligations to our departed loved ones. Convenience of customers who could not be physically present due to work, physical conditions or other compelling reasons. With this service, we hope to assist customers in fulfilling their ancestral obligations and help them feel at ease.
